Hi, I’m Mabel DeRusha—founder of XOXO, mabes.

This shop is the result of a full-circle creative journey. I grew up sewing and crafting alongside my grandma, spending countless hours learning, stitching, and creating by hand. It was a constant part of my childhood—something that felt personal and meaningful.

This past year, I rediscovered that passion when I bought my own sewing and embroidery machine. What began as a fun creative outlet quickly turned into a passion for making again. Now, I combine that handmade tradition with a strong eye for design, detail, and composition.

This past May, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Clemson University with a BA in Architecture and minor in Sustainability. I just made the big move to Charlotte, North Carolina where I work at an architecture firm. From custom embroidery to thoughtful handmade goods, each item is crafted with care, creativity, and a touch of Southern charm.
